This garage floor had seen better days. Deep cracks running wall to wall, staining, and surface deterioration that only gets worse with Minnesota winters. A lot of homeowners in Cold Spring put up with floors like this for years because they assume replacement is the only option. It's not.
We prepped the existing concrete and applied a full flake Polyurea & Polyaspartic coating in Slatestone - one of our most popular color options for a reason. Slatestone is a blend of two greys and white. It's sharp without being flashy. Neutral enough to go with any garage setup, and it just looks clean.
The flake system isn't just about looks either. The texture you're seeing in the close-up shot gives the floor real grip underfoot, which matters when you're walking in from a wet driveway. And unlike bare concrete, this surface won't absorb oil drips, won't dust, and is a lot easier to sweep and clean.
We coated the full floor surface including the step leading into the house - no skipping corners. That kind of detail matters. When everything gets the same treatment, the finished product looks intentional and polished, not like a patch job.
If you've got a garage floor in the Cold Spring area that looks anything like the before photos here, it's worth knowing that a coating system like this is a straightforward fix. No need to tear out and repour. We work directly over the existing slab and the results speak for themselves.
