Most basement floors are an afterthought. Cold, cracked, dusty - they just sit there taking up space. That's exactly what Lenore was dealing with before we came in. The concrete had visible cracks running across the surface, and the floor had that typical worn-out look that makes a basement feel more like a storage unit than usable space.

Before we laid down a single drop of coating, we did the prep work right. That means grinding the concrete down with dust-controlled equipment, cleaning out those cracks, and making sure the surface was ready to bond properly. Skipping prep is how you end up with a floor that peels or bubbles within a year. We don't cut corners there.

For this job, Lenore went with our Cardinal blend - a bold mix of grey, red, white, and black flakes that gives the floor serious character. We use a polyurea base coat followed by a polyaspartic topcoat. That combination is tough. It resists stains, handles moisture, and holds up to foot traffic without yellowing over time. It's a big step up from standard epoxy.

The finished floor looks sharp edge to edge. What was once a dull, cracked slab is now a clean, finished surface that actually makes the space feel like part of the home. A good basement floor coating does that - it changes how the whole room feels. Lenore trusted us with it, and we're glad we could deliver something worth showing off.

If your basement floor is still sitting there bare and forgotten, this is what's possible. Our basement floor coatings are built to last and designed to look good doing it.
